Easter Egg Hunting...

We went to an egg hunt at our friend Tiffany & Luke's house.  The eggs had prizes in them and Addy stopped to open each egg to see the prize before going on to look for any more!  She was not at all concerned if she got the most eggs in her basket... just how many pennies and candy and stickers she could collect!

It was cold and rainy that day - we both wore our rain boots!
The Saturday before Easter, our friends Jane & Mallory invited us over to their house for a fun egg hunt.  It was just Mallory, Addy, Marian & Cal hunting eggs and we probably had enough for at least 10 kids to hunt so they actually got tired of finding eggs before it was over with!
Sweet smiles!

The thing they enjoyed the most was playing on Mallory's swingset. They could've done this for hours!

Cal could climb up the ladder to do the slide by himself - he was happy sliding over and over!!

Having a serious discussion about those eggs

Showing off their prizes!

Mallory was smart... she would open the egg to get the prize which promptly went in her basket... then she dropped the egg back in the grass!  Ha ha!

Sweet pea!

The girls had SO much fun posing for the camera - I think they would've done this as long as we let them!  I have about 30 of these pictures!

Cal on the other hand was not a fan of sitting for the camera :)  This was the best one I could find of all 4 kids.

Cal was glad when the girls finally evacuated the swings and he could go roam around!

Jane's bunny cake masterpiece!

The Saturday night before Easter, we dyed eggs at home.  It was actually low-stress (I usually dread this part, after our first egg dyeing experience when Addy was 1 and she dumped the water out of the cup before we could even get started!)

Courtney and I wrote messages on the eggs with a wax crayon so it was fun to see the mystery message when we got them out of the cups!
