Baby Boom!

It seems like so many close friends of ours have been having babies right around the same time!  Jennifer & Curtis welcomed Paul in April, two of our church friends - the Wheat's and Moyer's - welcomed babies in February and April, the Tate's added Conner in February, and Heath & LeAnn were due to have Julia just two days apart from Audrey!  We had an "advice shower" for the Cooper's the first weekend in May. 

Since it was the weekend of Cinco de Mayo we had a taco bar. 

It seems like the girls always end up in one room and the guys in another!

 At the end of the party, Heath & LeAnn read through all the advice.  It was funny to hear how many things were repeated... apparently everyone was worried about them leaving home without the baby!  Ha ha!

Mustache Bash!

Our friends Jennifer & Curtis are expecting a baby boy in April and we had a couples shower for them last weekend.  Many of our friends from church were able to come and we all had fun celebrating with the parents-to-be! 

We always do a potluck with Sunday School functions and the food is always good :)  Jane made "bowtie" pasta salad and we served Little Man-wiches and BaMANa pudding... Addy helped me make the blue marshmallow pops with mustache ribbon and LeAnn made mustache brownies.  We found lots of our ideas on Pinterest - including the bowtie napkins.

I found these finger mustache tattoos at Hobby Lobby - all the girls wore one - they were pretty funny!

Clowning Around...

Last Sunday, Courtney and I dressed as a carnie (him) and clown (me) and headed to The Big Top at Heath & LeAnn's house.  There were several other clowns, a few bearded ladies, and a host of other fun circus performers!  Heath was the ringmaster and instructed us all on the carnival games when we arrived.  He had set up an elaborate football toss, duck race, ring toss, and the crowd favorite - the toilet bowl toss.  We even had carnival food (corn dogs, chicken on a stick, caramel apples and frozen bananas on a stick)!  We had a great time!

Baby Shower

Back in September several girls hosted a shower for our friend Carla who is in Uganda right now waiting to bring home her baby girl!  We had a fun afternoon celebrating with Carla and Zari Grace got several cute things!  I just realized I never posted these pictures.  Clint & Carla are documenting their journey while in Uganda at www.justaddzari.blogspot.com if you'd like to keep up!  Please pray for them as they are homesick and ready to be back in the U.S. but at the same time, so thankful for God's hand in the whole process.

Characters Welcome...

Our friends Heath & LeAnn have somewhat of a Halloween tradition to have a fun dress up party.  The past few years, they have hosted a murder mystery party where everyone has a character to dress up as and a part to act out that night.  This year, they skipped the mystery and had a TV theme so everyone dressed as a TV character.  We had a great time playing The Price is Right and Name that Tune!  Heath & LeAnn went all out with the decorations, desserts and games.  They even had a cute TV photo op! 

Courtney won funniest costume... the funny part was his act when we first got to the party (it is floating around on You Tube!)  He re-enacted a Matt Foley skit from Saturday Night Live, Chris Farley style.  He added a pillow under his shirt to complete the look :)
