We had a GREAT Easter! Mia & Pop invited everyone to their house for lunch on Easter Sunday after church. We had ham, macaroni & cheese, green bean bundles, sweet potato casserole, grape salad, vegetable casserole, rolls and caramel cake, lemon cookies and oreo dessert! Needless to say, we enjoyed all the good food!
We also enjoyed getting to know Kyle's girlfriend Di who was here to visit. She is in school at Oxford with Kyle and they came to the U.S. for a mooting competition and extended their stay to enjoy some time in Alabama. Di is from Australia so we asked her a million questions about the Outback :) She was lots of fun and we are so glad that we got to meet her and get to know her! And she has learned a lot about Alabama football from Kyle... we were so impressed with her knowledge of our team!
After we enjoyed all the good food at lunch we took Easter pictures outside and then we had an Easter egg hunt! Kyle, Di, Kayla, Courtney, Addy & I hunted for Easter eggs with special prizes inside... Kyle found the "golden egg" with a $20 bill inside! I think he was disappointed that it was USD instead of British pounds!

I can't blog about Easter without reflecting on the reason we even have this special holiday... we remember the sacrifice that Jesus made when he died on the cross for our sins so that we could have a relationship with God and on Easter we celebrate his resurrection.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from he dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
