Addy is now four months old! We went to the doctor last week and she weighs 14 lbs, 9 oz and is 25 ½ inches long. She is in the 75th and 90th percentile for weight and height. She is growing so fast! She holds her head up now and likes to have something in her hands at all times… a toy, her blanket, her clothes… whatever she can get hold of! She is also a fan of putting things in her mouth! She likes to stand up on your lap and she does not want to lay down like a little baby anymore. She wants to at least be sitting up so she can see what is going on in the room. She still likes to look at the TV so I try not to keep it on all the time so she will play with her toys or look at other things! She laughs a lot and smiles when you smile at her. She is getting better at tummy time and we are looking for her to start rolling over soon. She can arch her back and roll to her side but she hasn’t made a complete 180-degree turn yet! She scoots off the changing table so you really have to watch out.
The doctor told us last week that she could start eating solid food. When I think solid food, I think of a potato or some bread but solid food for babies consists of liquid pretty much! We mixed up some rice cereal last weekend for her first “meal” and she was not a huge fan. She made funny faces the first few times we put it up to her lips and spit most of it back out. Needless to say, it was a messy adventure! She finally swallowed a little bit of it but most of it ended up on her chin. I must say, I think life before “solid food” was much easier!
Getting ready to eat...
Messy Girl!
She thinks this is funny!
Sporting her Oxford onesie from Uncle Kyle...
She wears size 3 – 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. She usually sleeps through the night but occasionally has growth spurts and wants to eat every 4 hours at night (last night!)
Her baby dedication was January 31st at church. Here are a few pictures…
beautiful little girl and beautiful family!!
