Miss Addy

Addy has been more into pretending lately and she loves to take care of Julie (her baby doll that I feel is a member of our family).  She changes Julie's diaper at least 50 times a day (usually over and over, like as soon as she tapes the diaper on, uh oh, Julie has a dirty diaper AGAIN!  We think Julie needs some immodium!)  Addy is so dramatic about it and will tell us "EWW, stinky!  Julie has a dirty diaper!"  Thankfully, she reuses the diapers so it doesn't break the bank! 

All of her baby dolls have names except one... the names she picked out are Vivi, Katie and Maggie.  She found some foam squares that I had for a craft project and she lined them up (I guess they do this for circle time at school?) and had her baby dolls sit "criss cross applesauce" on the squares so that she could read them a book!  She makes the babies tow the line... she corrects her dolls and tells them they have to go to time out!  They are usually getting in trouble for whatever Addy just got in trouble for.  It is humbling to hear your child using the same phrases that you use when getting onto her!

Her new favorite thing to pretend is with her kitchen... she wants to cook food for you and will "take your order."  She can stay busy in the kitchen for a good 20 minutes!
